And on this occasion we want to tell you about two activities that you can do in the company of your family or friends, to experience together the natural scenery of the Marano lagoon, to discover all the beauties it reserves.
This lagoon boasts a landscape of rare beauty, with particular plants and animal species. It is enclosed between the last coastal point of Lignano Sabbiadoro and the Grado Lagoon, extending for about 9000 hectares.
EXCURSIONS TO MARANO LAGUNARE BY MOTORBOAT
From the dock of Lignano every morning you can set sail with the motor ships Nuova Saturno and Stella Polare for some unmissable excursions:
1. Excursion on the Stella river, visit to the natural reserve of the river mouths, stop in the typical fishermen's huts
Along the Stella river you will be taken on a visit to the natural reserve Oases "Foci del Stella river", reachable only by sea, inside which there is the ancient village of the "casoni", wooden shelters and marsh reed where the fishermen lived when the fishing boats were still rowing. The peace and silence that characterize these places leave every visitor speechless ..
2. Visit to Marano Lagunare and the Isola delle Conchiglie
Marano, of Roman origin, with a Venetian history of over 400, contains architectural treasures that recall the Venetian city. It is an unmissable stop for anyone visiting Lignano and the lagoon.
With this excursion you will first discover the town, with its streets and squares. On the way back, we return to contact with nature, visiting the Isle of Shells, whose still wild features remain etched in memory.

KAYAK EXPERIENCE
For sports lovers in contact with nature we suggest a truly unique experience: the kayak experience.
We start even in the morning and even in the afternoon, strictly by sea, towards the Marano lagoon, up to the mouths of the Stella river, where instructors will train on the use of the kayak and the movements necessary to paddle correctly.
Immediately afterwards, the experience begins: all participants will enter their canoe and paddle through the labyrinth of the Stella River Nature Reserve, surrounded by unspoiled nature.
There will be a typical stop in a lagoon hut belonging to the local fishermen.
